One of my observations of the piece about NLP you gave a hyperlink to is that they do not distinguish in 'cognitive style' and related 'syntax of unconsious'. That is why one cannot frame 'NLP' in the language of a research article and 'scientific thinking' supposedly dominated by certain class of processes in left hemisphere. There are several parts in different hemispheres that generate syntax and language, their result is overlapped in speech, depending upon state, etc. Simplistically, I would admit that 'scientific method' and separation to theory/practice and other concepts-anchors follow a certain 'scientific trance' in which a person do science and it seems an utmost truth for him or her.
In any way, if TM, scientology, transaction analysis Volkov, metanonymous, etc why it should be placed in a position to bother us.
