HYPNOSIS IN TIME-LIMITED THERAPY:The Fundamentals of Ericksonian HypnosisEricksonian hypnosis is an especially powerful tool for helping clients discover or rediscover resources that lay dormant in their personal repertoire. The approach is unique in its ability to allow individuals to experience directly reservoirs of tenacity, intelligence, optimism, and love -- those things that ultimately foster healing at the deepest levels.In this intensive workshop, participants will learn about enhancing the experiential impact of therapy through trance from a master teacher and clinician. They will learn the use of such classic hypnotic methods as the interspersal technique and the confusion technique. Further, they will come to understand the subtle power of using anecdotes with a range of common clinical problems, including anxiety and depression. All of these methods can be folded into any type of therapy, with or without formal trance. Designed for both the beginner and the seasoned practitioner, this program will feature hands-on clinical demonstrations, experiential exercises, and videotape of Milton H. Erickson.Jeffrey K. Zeig, Ph.D., is founder, director, and president of the Board of Directors of the Milton H. Erickson Foundation in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Zeig spent more than six years in intermittent study with Erickson. He is the architect of The Evolution of Psychotherapy and the Brief Therapy Conferences, as well as the organizer of international Congresses on Ericksonian Approaches to Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. Jeff Zeig has edited, co-editedor introduced 17 professional books and five monographs covering Ericksonian psychotherapy, hypnosis, brief therapy, and eclectic psychotherapy.
