USING THERAPEUTIC LANGUAGE TO HEAL:
A NEW TRAINING IN ERICKSONIAN HYPNOSIS
MAY - JULY 2011
Certified by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and
the National Association of Social Workers
Recent research proves your language, if specifically crafted, can affect or even change brain function in your patients. Therapeutic communication, such as hypnosis and hypnotic language strategies, is emerging as a core therapy in virtually all health-related fields. This training by Jane Parsons-Fein, for state-certified professionals only, is certified by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH), one of the three top hypnosis-training accrediting bodies in the world. The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) has also approved the training. Jane's bio describing her experience and qualifications is attached.
In her 4-weekend training, participants will:
* acquire solid grounding in the history of hypnosis and development of traditional hypnotic therapies
* learn to integrate new research findings into their own creative therapeutic repertoires
* study Jane's rare Erickson videos and practice his utilization of patients' unconscious experiential resources to heal themselves
* explore through videos, and experiment with, the varied hypnotic approaches of noted mind-body therapists Virginia Satir, Moshe Feldenkrais and Kay Thompson, DDS. Jane studied with all three as well as Erickson and enriches this training with their discoveries
* experience didactic, demonstration, extensive practice and group support in a safe learning environment conducted under careful supervision.
"Our goal is to become master healers and more human communicators, not just achieve skill in hypnotic techniques. As we learn to use words, voice tone and body language to positively affect patients' unconscious understandings, we also become unforgettably aware of the power of our own communication."
